Automec gear motor, in operation since 1992!
Our geared motors and worm gears are exported all over the world. We receive requests from countries as diverse as Australia, India, the Caribbean, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia and Bosnia. They ask us to replace or repair our geared motors and worm gears, and often these are products that were purchased several years ago.
If they are recent, some manufacturing defects may occur, but most of the time we realise that the problem lies in wear or in an incorrect application of the geared motor or worm gear. This can be, for example, an incorrect inclination in relation to the axis of the geared motor. This condition can cause misalignment and consequently incorrect gear wear. Over time they can become jammed, broken or damaged.
On the other hand, it is more common for them to be very dated products: from 10 or 20 years ago, and even gearmotors or screws without them from the late 1990s. Given these demands, we can say that our geared motors are quite durable!
It is our talking labels that give us irrefutable proof of this, and to our amazement we discover that they are not even that ruined!
Automec gear motors, stories from the world: #1 Argentina!
This is the case, for example, of one of our Argentinean customers, from San Antonio de Padua, Martin, a technical assistant. He wrote to us, asking for advice on our 170 volts and 45 watt model EP65 gear motor. His problem was that, over time, the grease inside the gearbox had dried up, consequently blocking the gears. Obviously we could not replace the grease in the gearbox gears ourselves, given the distance. We therefore suggested the type of grease to him.
Over 30 years of honourable services!
Specifically, it was an EP65V170W45R144 geared motor used in a wave soldering machine within the electronics industry for soldering PCBs (electronic circuits). Specifically, it moved a conveyor belt that feeds PCBs into the soldering machine. Our customer was very pleased with it and informed us that it had done an excellent job so far. We say all this not so much to brag as to attest that when the materials used are of quality and the work is rigorously controlled, the results are visible. Finding products with such a long life cycle today, we believe, is very difficult. We are happy to discover these testimonials from all over the world and from the most diverse sectors, from industrial automation to marine, gas&oil, pizza ovens, labelling machines and many others.
